Askloop: Q&A for Confluence ("Askloop") is published by Joao Duro De Matos, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland (NIP 9452193255), Ułanów 64D lok. 27, 31-460 Kraków, Poland.
Askloop runs on Atlassian Forge and is eligible for the "Runs on Atlassian" programme. It has no servers of its own. Everything it stores stays inside Atlassian's platform, for your Confluence site, and it sends no data to us or to anyone else. About people, it stores only Atlassian account ids, never names or email addresses.
Askloop keeps its data in the Forge SQL database that Atlassian hosts for the app on your site. Only Askloop can read it; it is not shared with other sites or other apps.
Question and answer text is stored as you typed it. Please do not put personal data there that you do not need.
Askloop also writes to Confluence itself, through Confluence's own APIs. What it writes there is normal Confluence content, governed by Confluence's permissions and retention, not by the app.
Confluence decides. Askloop checks, as the person using it, on every request: a question asked on a page is shown only to people who can view that page (page restrictions included), and a question asked in a space only to people who can view the space. Topics can further limit who may ask and who may answer to a Confluence group. Confluence administrators and a topic's moderators group can edit and delete any question or answer in it.
Askloop stores the Atlassian account ids of people who ask, answer, vote, verify, are experts or appear in the history. It does not store names or email addresses: names are shown by Confluence's own user component each time.
Once a week Askloop reports the account ids it stores to Atlassian's personal data reporting API, as Atlassian requires. When Atlassian answers that an account has been closed, Askloop removes that account id everywhere in its own data: questions and answers stay and are shown as written by "a former user", and that person's votes and expert roles are deleted. Mentions on FAQ pages and page comments are Confluence content and follow Confluence's own handling of closed accounts.
Your organisation remains the controller of the data Askloop stores; we never receive it. Atlassian processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.
When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian removes the app's stored data under its Forge data retention rules. Export the questions to CSV first (Askloop settings) if you want to keep them. FAQ pages and page comments stay in Confluence like any other page.
Nothing from your Confluence content or from the questions and answers. Askloop makes no calls outside Atlassian. Like every Marketplace partner, we can see the licensing and install information Atlassian provides to partners (for example which sites have the app installed and the licence tier) and the logs Forge keeps for the app. Those logs record counts and errors, and an error may contain a question, page or space id. We use this information only to support and improve Askloop.
Askloop holds no security or privacy certification of its own. It relies on Atlassian's platform, where its data is hosted.
